How to use default customizable templates

Expand the style panel for ease of use

Expand the Style panel to work with settings in a larger view. Select the expand icon in the upper right of the screen.

Select the customizable template option

Scroll to any of the sections that offer a customizable template option: History of Present Illness, Allergies,  Physical Exam, Results, Procedure, and Assessment and Plan. In any of those 6 sections:

• Select the open icon  next to the heading name.

• Find the style option labeled "Template."

• Open the drop-down menu and choose the customizable template for that specific note section.

A suggested template will appear. Try using the default template first before making edits. You may find that, combined with your selected primary medical specialty, it already provides the AI output you need for that section. 

Include customizable templates when applying your style

• Apply automatically: Turn on Auto‑style in Settings to apply your style preferences—including customizable templates—to every note Dragon Copilot generates.

• Apply manually: Use Apply my style to apply your style settings and selected templates on demand.
