Important:
GPT Builder and custom GPTs are going away
Microsoft will remove the ability to create GPTs starting July 14th, 2024, and then remove all GPTs (created by Microsoft and by customers) along with their associated GPT data also starting July 14th, 2024.
For more information see GPT Builder is being retired.
A Copilot GPT is a custom version of Microsoft Copilot AI experiences that can be used for specific purposes, such as for specialized knowledge, implementing specific processes, or simply to save time by reusing a set of AI prompts. If someone has created a Copilot GPT and they’ve given you the link to their Copilot GPT, you can view and use it, even if you don't have Microsoft Copilot Pro. You can also share the Copilot GPT with others by giving them the link.
You can’t edit or delete Copilot GPTs that someone else created. When a Copilot GPT is updated, its link doesn't change. If you've created a Copilot GPT that's shared with others, and you want to stop sharing it, you can do that by republishing your Copilot GPT and making it available to you only.
This article describes how to use, share, and stop sharing a Copilot GPT.
Use a Copilot GPT
If someone has sent you a link to their Copilot GPT, select that link and then sign in using your Microsoft account (such as Outlook.com).
To select and use a Copilot GPT from a list of available GPTs, follow these steps:
-
On your mobile device or computer, go to Copilot.microsoft.com or Bing.com/chat, and sign in using your Microsoft account (such as Outlook.com).
-
In the navigation pane, under Copilot GPTs, select See all Copilot GPTs. The All Copilot GPTs window opens and displays a list of GPTs that are available to you.
-
Select a Copilot GPT, and then select Get started.
Share a Copilot GPT
Sharing a Copilot GPT is done by sending its link to other users. If you have the link to a Copilot GPT, you can share it by sending someone that link.
If you don't have the link to a Copilot GPT, follow these steps:
-
On your computer, go to Copilot.microsoft.com or Chat.bing.com, and sign in using your Microsoft account (such as outlook.com).
-
In the navigation pane, under Copilot GPTs, select See all Copilot GPTs. The All Copilot GPTs window opens and displays a list of GPTs that are available to you.
-
Next to the Copilot GPT that you want to share, select its ellipses (...), and then choose Share. Next to the link that appears, select the Copy button.
-
Send the link to others.
Stop sharing your Copilot GPT
If you previously created or edited a Copilot GPT that's shared with others, and you want to stop sharing it, follow these steps:
-
Using your Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome browser on your computer, go to Copilot.microsoft.com or Bing.com/chat, and sign in using your Microsoft account (such as Outlook.com).
-
In the navigation pane, on the Chats tab, under Copilot GPTs, select See all Copilot GPTs. The All Copilot GPTs page opens.
-
Under My Copilot GPTs, select the Copilot GPT that you want to stop sharing, and then select Edit.
-
On the Configure tab, make a change, and then select Save Changes. For example, you can edit your description to indicate you're not sharing this Copilot GPT with others.
-
In the upper right corner, select Publish. Choose Only me, and then choose Confirm.
