If the previous steps didn't work, try changing the selective suspend setting:
-
In the Search box, type Control Panel and select Control Panel in the search results.
-
Select Hardware and Sound > Power Options.
-
For the power plan that is selected, click Change plan settings.
-
Select Change advanced power settings.
-
Expand USB settings. Then expand USB selective suspend settings.
-
Click the links for both On battery and Plugged in, and set both dropdowns to Disabled.
-
Select Apply and OK.
-
On the taskbar, select Start > Power > Sleep. Once Windows goes to sleep, wake Windows and check whether the problem with the USB device is resolved.
