Add and sync shared folders to OneDrive for home
You can also access shared folders from your Shared list on OneDrive.com or in the OneDrive mobile apps. You can still copy, move, edit, rename, share, and delete anything in the folder. Some OneDrive shared folders are showing up as .url internet shortcuts. See below for more information.

When using the OneDrive app, you can download a local copy of a file to your device. In the OneDrive app, open the folder that has the files you want to download. Make sure the folder contents appear in List view, not as thumbnails. Tap More next to the file you want to save and then tap Save.

In OneDrive, right-click the file. Select a command. Select New > Folder. Type a name for the folder. Select Create. Looking for an older file? Search is a powerful tool to find all your online files. Type a word or phrase in the Search box. Select a file, or press Enter.

Helpful info about shared folders. When you open a shared OneDrive file while signed in to your Microsoft account, people with permission to edit that file can see that you've opened it. People who can edit will also be able to see your name, email address, and profile picture.

Note: If you're downloading regularly from a Shared folder, you can add and sync shared folders to your own OneDrive.
