Sign in using Microsoft Authenticator - Microsoft Support
Before you can use Authenticator as a way to sign in, you need to download the app and have already added Authenticator to your accounts. Starting July 2025, the autofill feature in Authenticator will stop working, and from August 2025, passwords will no longer be accessible in Authenticator.
How to add your accounts to Microsoft Authenticator
If this is the first time you're setting up Authenticator, you might receive a prompt asking whether to allow the app to access your camera (iOS) or to allow the app to take pictures and record video (Android). Allow the app to use the camera so that you can take a picture of a QR code in one step.
Using Outlook mobile to sign in - Microsoft Support

Troubleshoot problems with Microsoft Authenticator
Make sure you're using the latest version of Authenticator - Microsoft does not support any app versions more than 12 months old. Tap Settings and make sure App updates is turned on.
