Any cookies and site data stored by sites with such allowances are stored locally on your device and can be removed by selecting “Cookies and other site data” when you clear browsing data. Learn how you can manage cookies and site data you've temporarily allowed in Microsoft Edge.

We let you decide what trackers to block. You can choose from three levels of tracking prevention: Basic, Balanced, and Strict. Balanced is selected as the default. In Microsoft Edge, select Settings and more > Settings > Privacy, search, and services.

In Microsoft Edge, select Settings and more > Settings > Privacy, search, and services . Under Clear browsing data, select Choose what to clear. Under Time range, choose a time range. Select the check box next to each data type you’d like to clear, and then select Clear now.

In Microsoft Edge, select Settings and more > Settings > Privacy, search, and services. Make sure Tracking prevention is set to On . Under Tracking prevention , select Exceptions .

Select Settings and more > Settings > Privacy, search, and services . Under Clear browsing data > Clear browsing data now, select Choose what to clear. Under Time range, choose a time range from the drop-down menu. Choose the types of browsing data you want to clear (see the table below for descriptions).

Select Settings > Cookies and site permissions. Under All permissions, select Pop-ups and redirects. Turn on the Block (recommended) toggle. When this feature is turned on and a pop-up has been blocked, Edge will display the following image in your web browser's address bar.

Enable secure DNS. Use Microsoft Edge's password manager. Exercise caution when downloading files. Browse anonymously with InPrivate browsing. Install extensions for added security. Keep Microsoft Edge Updated.

Select Settings > Cookies and site permissions and select Notifications. Under Allow, you will find a list of websites that are currently sending you notifications. Select the three dots next to the website from which you want to stop receiving notifications and select either Remove or Block.
