Give the team a name and add a short description if you like. By default, your team is private, meaning you'll have to add the people or groups you want on the team.

In the left pane, select Teams and then select Create and join teams and channels. Select Create team. Give your team a name, and a short description. Select whether to make it Private (you need permission from the team owner to join) or Public (the team is visible to everyone in the organization). Type a name for your first channel.
