You can obtain add-ins for PowerPoint at Popular Office downloads or on third-party vendor websites. If you are a developer, you can write your own custom add-in programs by using Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).

Alternatively, in Word, Excel and PowerPoint you can view your add-ins by selecting Home > Add-ins. You can directly install popular add-ins on the page or go to More Add-ins to explore. Select the add-in and select Add .

SharePoint is a browser-based app that you connect to through your web browser, like so: Go to office.com, and sign in to your work or school account. In the upper left corner of the window, select the app launcher > All apps > SharePoint.

Add-ins provide optional commands and features for Microsoft Excel. By default, add-ins are not immediately available in Excel, so you must first install and (in some cases) activate these add-ins so that you can use them. Some add-ins are built in to Excel, such as Solver and the Analysis ToolPak.

Use new Outlook with your keyboard and screen reader to migrate your settings and install your existing add-ins from classic Outlook for Windows. We have tested it with Narrator, JAWS, and NVDA, but it might work with other screen readers as long as they follow common accessibility standards and techniques.

If an Office add-in isn’t showing up in the Office Add-ins list, refresh the list to see all of your add-ins. In Word 2016, Excel 2016, or PowerPoint 2016, click Insert > My Add-ins. In Project 2016, click Project > My Add-ins. Then click Refresh to update the list in the Office Add-ins dialog.

Use a Store add-in to add new tools or features to Office. Get an Office add-in. Select Insert > Store. In Outlook, select Home > Store. Browse the list of Office Add-ins or search for one in the search box. Select an add-in to learn more about it. Select Add or Buy for the add-in you want.
