Clipchamp iOS app deprecation

Why is Clipchamp removing the iOS mobile app?

We have found most users prefer editing their video projects on our web and desktop applications. In order to deliver high-value features and improvements, we are focusing our efforts on these applications to benefit users.

When is this change happening?

Beginning June 9, 2026, the Clipchamp iOS app will no longer be supported and any projects stored only within the app may be deleted if not exported beforehand.

What will happen to the Clipchamp iOS app after June 9, 2026?

After this date, any video projects stored locally in the Clipchamp iOS app that have not been exported as a video file (MP4) to your device will be deleted from the iOS app.

Projects that have already been saved to OneDrive or are accessible via the Clipchamp web or desktop apps will not be deleted.

How to ensure my existing projects are not lost?

  • To ensure you keep a copy of any projects created in the Clipchamp iOS app, export them as an MP4 video file and save them to your mobile device before June 9, 2026.
  • Once you have exported any projects you want to keep, you can uninstall the Clipchamp iOS app from your mobile device.
  • Go to the Clipchamp web app on your desktop for new video projects.

Are there changes to the Clipchamp web and desktop applications?

The Clipchamp web and desktop applications will remain fully functional. There are no changes to these applications.

What features remain for Clipchamp Premium subscribers?

Clipchamp Premium subscribers will still have access to all the features available in their Clipchamp Premium subscription and have a maximum of 5 GB of cloud storage in OneDrive to save video projects. Projects saved to OneDrive are accessible across devices with your Microsoft Account.
