How do I delete my chat history in GroupMe?

You can delete the chat history for an individual or a group chat. This clears the chat history on your device, but the other participants will still be able to see the chat.

To clear your chat history:

  1. Select the group or individual chat that you want.

  2. Select the group or contact's avatar (profile picture), then select Settings Settings button .

    Tip

    On iPad, either select Settings Settings button from the top of your group or the avatar from the top of a one-to-one chat.

  3. Select Clear Chat History.

  4. Select Clear or Yes to confirm. Your chat history will be cleared.

Important

Once you’ve cleared your chat history from your device, you can’t recover it.
