How do I transfer ownership of a group in GroupMe?

If you want to transfer the ownership of one of your groups:

1. Go to the group in the Chat screen.

2. Select the group avatar.

3. Select Settings  .

   Note

   On iPad, tap Settings   from the top of the screen.

4. Select Change Owner.

5. Select a new owner from the member list.

6. Select Yes to make that member the owner of the group.
