Some email service providers have moved to newer email protocols for improved security and reliability. These email service providers may no longer work with Windows Live Mail.
Windows Live Mail is part of Windows Live Essentials, a suite of free programs for photos, movies, instant messaging, and more. The programs are downloaded together, but can be uninstalled separately.
To uninstall Windows Live Mail
- Open Programs and Features by selecting the Start button, selecting Control Panel, selecting Programs, and then selecting Programs and Features.
- Double-click Windows Live Essentials 2011.
- Select Remove one or more Windows Live programs.
- Select Mail, and then select Uninstall.
