When you make your computer as a trusted device, you won't need to enter a security code each time you try to access sensitive info—like credit card information associated with your Microsoft account. This can be useful if you use a device often, if you have two-step verification, or if you're using the Microsoft Authenticator app to sign in. Here's how to do it:
- On the device you want to trust, go to the Security settings page and sign in to your Microsoft account.
- You'll be prompted to enter a security code. Choose whether to receive the code through email, text, or an authenticator app. Once you have the code, enter it in the text box.
- Select the check box for I sign in frequently on this device. Don't ask me for a code. and then select Submit.
You can now sign in and edit your info on this device whenever you want, without entering another security code.
