Save time with keyboard shortcuts

Touchscreen gestures offer new possibilities, but keyboard shortcuts haven't gone away. Get the most out of Windows with these shortcuts for apps and desktops.

  • Add a desktop: Windows logo key

    Start symbol
    + Ctrl + D

  • Move an app to a monitor on the right: Windows logo key

    + Shift + Right arrow

  • Move an app to a monitor on the left: Windows logo key
