- You have a computer that is running Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012.
- The computer has a universal serial bus (USB) 2.0 port with hardware-controlled USB 2.0 Link Power Management (LPM) enabled.
- You attach a USB 3.0 device to the USB 2.0 port.
In this scenario, the USB 3.0 device does not function correctly. For example, the device does not appear in Device Manager or any relevant application.
