Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:

You have a database that contains XML data in Microsoft SQL Server 2005.

The XML data contains time data.

You migrate from SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2012 or SQL Server 2014.

You use the value () method to query against the time data of the XML data.
In this scenario, the date and hour data is returned correctly, and the minute data is overwritten by the second data.
Resolution
The issue was first fixed in the following cumulative update of SQL Server.
