Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You use Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Data Quality Services (DQS).

  • You create a DQS knowledge base (KB) that is configured to use a DQS Domain or Composite Domain to use Reference Data services from the Microsoft Azure Marketplace DataMarket providers, such as services that are provided by Melissa Data.

  • You create a Data Quality project for cleansing which uses the domain. You perform the cleansing activity, and reach the Export page.

  • You try to Export the data cleansing results to a SQL Server table with the Data and Cleansing Info option.

In this scenario, you receive the following error message:

Failed to create a new table '<TableName>' in database '<DatabaseName>'. Check whether the table already exists, and have the database administrator make sure the DQS Service has CREATE TABLE rights in the destination database and can INSERT to the destination table.

Note During the CREATE TABLE phase of the EXPORT, the SQL Profiler trace records an error when the column name length exceeds 128 characters.
