Be aware that the update in the Microsoft Download Center applies to the Microsoft Installer (.msi)-based edition of Office 2016. It doesn't apply to the Office 2016 Click-to-Run editions, such as Microsoft Office 365 Home. (How to determine?)
Improvements and fixes

This update enables certain special characters for the Add-in commands in the Office 2016 ribbon.

This update improves the Internet Explorer session to make sure that you can reuse the Internet Explorer process for applications in Outlook Inspector window.

This update fixes some high DPI issues for add-ins. For example, you have a high-resolution monitor and a lower-resolution monitor. When you start the host on the high DPI monitor, start a task pane add-in, and then drag the window over to the lower DPI monitor. The add-in will be resized to a much smaller version that’s not usable.

On the File menu, select Account.

For Office 2016 Click-to-Run installations, an Update Options item is displayed. For MSI-based installations, the Update Options item isn't displayed.
