Be aware that the update on the Microsoft Download Center applies to the Microsoft Installer (.msi)-based edition of Office 2016. It doesn't apply to the Office 2016 Click-to-Run editions, such as Microsoft Office 365 Home. (How to determine?)
Improvements and fixes
This update fixes the following issue:
When you copy from an Information Rights Management (IRM) protected document in another Office application and then open the Paste Special dialog box in PowerPoint 2016, PowerPoint 2016 may crash, or nothing happens.
This update also includes the following improvements:

Improves the translation for the status text that occurs in the Compress Media dialog box when compressing media is finished for the German version of PowerPoint 2016.

The multi-selection function now works properly in the Edit Links to Files dialog box for all languages.

On the File menu, select Account.

For Office 2016 Click-to-Run installations, an Update Options item is displayed. For MSI-based installations, the Update Options item isn't displayed.
