Track your device and performance health in Windows Security

S’applique à : Security

To help you keep your device secure, Windows Security monitors your device for security issues and provides a health report, which appears on the Device performance & health page. The Health report alerts you to common issues with your system and offers recommendations to remedy them.

View the Health report for your device in Windows Security

  1. In the search box on the taskbar, type Windows Security, and then select Windows Security in the list of results.
  2. Select Device performance & health to view the Health report. What you see in this report will vary, depending on your Windows version, device, permissions, and the issues that are found.

If you meet system requirements, you'll also see the Fresh start option, which helps you refresh your device by reinstalling and updating Windows. Fresh start can be useful if your device has performance issues, if the memory is full, or if you have too many unused apps. Using Fresh start, you can refresh your PC without losing your settings or your personal files and photos. Fresh start can improve your device's startup and shutdown process, memory usage, browsing, battery life, and the performance for Microsoft Store apps.

Use Fresh start to install a clean version of Windows 10

  1. Verify that you meet the system requirements. To access Fresh start, your device must be running Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro, and you must be signed in as an administrator. Learn more about Windows 10 specifications.
  2. Gather all reinstallation media (such as CDs), product keys, license or sign-in information, or anything else you'll need to manually reinstall and reactivate the apps or app-related content you want to keep using. For Microsoft apps, see Find your Microsoft downloads and product keys.
  3. (Optional) Back up your files. We recommend this precaution, even though Fresh start keeps your data intact.
  4. In the search box on the taskbar, type Windows Security, and then select Windows Security in the list of results.
  5. Select Device performance & health.
  6. Under Fresh start, select Additional info, and then select Get Started to start the process.

When Fresh start is done, you can reinstall any apps you want to keep using. To see a list of the apps that were removed, go to your desktop and double-click the Removed Apps icon you'll find there.
