Improvements and fixes
This security update includes improvements and fixes that were a part of update KB4015552 (released April 18, 2017) and also resolves the following:
- Addressed issue where, after installing security update KB4015549, applications that use msado15.dll stop working.
Updated Internet Explorer 11’s New Tab Page with an integrated newsfeed.
Deprecated SHA-1 Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer 11 for SSL/TLS Server Authentication. See Advisory 4010323 for more information.
Security updates to Internet Explorer, Microsoft Graphics Component, Windows COM, Microsoft ActiveX, Windows Server, Windows kernel, and Microsoft Windows DNS.

- The security fixes that are listed in this Security Monthly Quality Rollup KB4019264 are also included in the May 2017 Security-Only Quality Update, KB4019263, except for the security fixes for Internet Explorer. Those are instead included in the Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer KB4018271. Installing either this May 2017 Security Monthly Quality Rollup or both the May 2017 Security-Only Quality Update and the Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer will install the security fixes that are listed here. This Security Monthly Quality Rollup also includes improvements and fixes from previous monthly rollups.
- If you use update management processes other than Windows Update, and you automatically approve all security update classifications for deployment, May 2017 Security Monthly Quality Rollup KB4019264, May 2017 Security-Only Quality Update KB4019263, and the Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer KB4018271 will be deployed.
