Get online in more places by buying a paid cellular data plan in Windows 10. You pay for plans using the same payment info stored in your Microsoft account and used to buy apps in Microsoft Store. You'll need a PC that's running Windows 10 that also has a cellular modem, a supported SIM card, the Mobile Plans app, and a Microsoft account.
Select the Network icon on the taskbar, and then see if a cellular network name appears in the list of networks with the phrase Buy from Microsoft Store underneath it.
Choose the cellular network if it appears there, and make sure you're connected to it. Next, select Connect with a data plan.
- In the Mobile Plans app, choose a plan to buy from Microsoft Store , and then follow the instructions to buy it to get online. If you haven't added a payment method to your Microsoft account, you'll be asked to do this.
The paid cellular data plan you buy doesn't have any contracts or recurring charges, and depends on network coverage. Some plans offer international roaming. Check the plan you buy for details. The plan starts immediately and ends when you've used the amount of data you bought or when the specified amount of time expires, whichever comes first.
