How to set up and test microphones in Windows

To install a new microphone, follow these steps: 

1. Make sure your microphone is connected to your PC.

2. Select Start > Settings > System > Sound.

3. In Sound settings, go to Input to see your connected microphones. If it's a Bluetooth microphone, select Add device and follow the prompts.   

To test a microphone that's already installed:

1. Make sure your microphone is connected to your PC.

2. Select Start > Settings > System > Sound.

3. In Input, select the microphone to test and choose > to the right of the device to open the Properties page.

4. Under Input settings, select Start test and speak normally. Select Stop test and choose Play to hear your recorded sample. Adjust the Input volume slider if needed.
