Location is still displayed even if UseLocationForE911Only is set to true in Skype for Business

Symptoms

Other people still can see your location information even if the UseLocationForE911Only parameter is set to True. This issue occurs in Microsoft Skype for Business 2016 and Skype for Business 2015 (Lync 2013).

Resolution

To fix this issue, install one of the following updates:

• For Skype for Business 2016, install the May 1, 2018, update (KB4018367).
• For Skype for Business 2015 (Lync 2013), install the May 1, 2018, update (KB4018377).

Note Lync 2013 was upgraded to Skype for Business in April 2015.
