New Features and Resolved Issues in Portal Capabilities Version 8.4.2.21

There are a few important changes in this release, please make sure you have taken the following steps to be prepared for this:

  1. Once your Portal is upgraded, it is advised to clear the browser cache before using the Front side editing features on the Portal.

  2. If you are displaying a Lookup on Entity Forms or Web Forms, you will need to make sure that users using those Forms have Append permissions on the Entity whose Lookup is displayed on the Portal, as well as on the Entity whose form is being displayed. Without Append permissions, an error will be shown when a user tries to create/update a record.

Additionally, version 8.4.2.21 resolves the following issues:

  • An unhandled exception would be thrown if Entity Form Metadata record had a Lookup control as a dropdown list and simultaneously the Entity Permission for the Lookup record entity is of Parent Scope and the Parent permission is of Contact Scope using an N:N relationship.

  • Subgrid on Entity Form is not rendered correctly when using Safari on an iPad in landscape mode.

  • Note added on an Entity Form on a Portal, sometimes doesn't appear unless you reload the page or add another Note.

  • "We're sorry, but something went wrong" error message is shown sometimes when accessing Portal for the first time or accessing the Portal when browser cookies are cleared.

  • Query string parameters are ignored in return URL of SAML requests unless they are double encoded.

  • Entity List for Entitlement does not display any records.

  • Unable to perform right-mouse-click functionalities on a table in rich text editor shown on the CMS front side interface of the Portal.

  • Adding a custom JavaScript through CMS front side editing deletes the 'adx_copy' field of the page.

  • A potential XSS attack vulnerability was fixed.
