Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:
- You have updated to Configuration Manager current branch, version 1802.
- You have to install a program that is targeted as "User" or "User Group Collection" (not as Device Collection), and the program is available (but not a required program).
In this scenario, after you start to install the program, Software Center (SCClient.exe) terminates unexpectedly. Additionally, an entry for Event 1026 is recorded in the Application log and resembles the following:
