Introduction
This article describes the issues that are fixed in Hotfix 1 for Microsoft System Center 2016 Virtual Machine Manager Update Rollup 5. This article also contains the installation instructions for this hotfix.
There are no updates to the Administrator Console or Guest Agent as part of this hotfix. However, installation of this hotfix requires you to update the Host agent on all the VMM-managed hosts.
Issues that are fixed
The Refresh action on a host or host cluster takes longer than expected to finish and consumes additional memory after you upgrade the server to System Center 2016 Virtual Machine Manager Update Rollup 5.
After you apply this hotfix, the Refresh action will take less time to finish and consume less memory space.

To manually install the hotfix package, run the following command from an elevated command prompt:
msiexec.exe /update packagename
For example, to install the Hotfix 1 package for System Center 2016 Virtual Machine Manager Server Update Rollup 5 (KB4346689), run the following command:
msiexec.exe /update kb 4346689 _vmmserver_amd64.msp
