This update extends the Key Management Service (KMS) for Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows 10, versions 1507, 1607, 1709, 1803 and Windows Server 2016 to enable the activation of the upcoming Windows 10 client Enterprise LTSC and Windows Server editions when these become available.

In addition to installing this update on the KMS Host, a KMS Generic Volume License Key (GVLK) that is designed to support the upcoming Windows 10 client Enterprise LTSC or Windows Server editions is required to be installed. The associated KMS GVLKs for these products will be documented on Appendix A: KMS Client Setup Keyswhen they become available.
