This article describes update 4462196 for Microsoft Outlook 2016 that was released on March 5, 2019.
Be aware that the update in the Microsoft Download Center applies to the Microsoft Installer (.msi)-based edition of Office 2016. It doesn't apply to the Office 2016 Click-to-Run editions, such as Microsoft Office 365 Home (see Determining your Office version).
Improvements and fixes
This update contains the following improvements:

Makes changes for Japanese holidays in the Outlook holiday file. To enable these changes, delete existing Japanese holidays in your Outlook Calendar, install this update and then add Japanese holidays again. See KB 4462188 for more information.

Adds translations for new holidays that are introduced in Outlook Calendar in multiple languages.
Note To enable this improvement, you also need to install KB 4462194 together with this update.
This update fixes the following issues:

Assume that you set a rule to create and move a copy of a sent email message into an Outlook Data Files (.pst) file. After you send an email message, the sent email message is unexpectedly saved as an unsent draft email message in the PST file.

When you add a category to the contact, controls in the contact card are put in wrong positions. This issue occurs in East Asian languages versions of Outlook 2016.

When you interact with the Attachments tab, Outlook 2016 intermittently crashes.
-
Email messages are incorrectly grouped after you swap time zones in Outlook 2016. This issue occurs when Outlook 2016 interacts with some add-ins and certain custom Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) scripts.

You can't reply to some email messages that have the Do not reply all policy applied.

Addresses an issue that causes users of the Japanese era date format to see a hang in Outlook 2016 when they create a meeting during a month that the Japanese era is changing.
Note To fix this issue, you also need to install KB 4462214 and KB 4032231 together with this update.
