August 6, 2019, update for Project 2016 (KB4475544)

Applies to: Project Standard 2016Project Professional 2016

This article describes update 4475544 for Microsoft Project 2016 that was released on August 6, 2019.

Be aware that the update in the Microsoft Download Center applies to the Microsoft Installer (.msi)-based edition of Office 2016. It doesn't apply to the Office 2016 Click-to-Run editions, such as Microsoft Office 365 Home (see What version of Office am I using?).

Improvements and fixes

This update fixes the following issues:

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You open a given project by using the Microsoft Installeredition of Project 2016.
    • You switch to a Task Usage type view.
    • The view in the timephased portion includes the ACWP andBCWP earned value fields.
    • On a summary task for a given period, you note the ACWP andBCWP values.
    • You open the same project with a subscription version ofProject 2016 (also known as a click-to-run edition).
    • You view the same timephased ACWP and BCWP values duringthe same period.

In this situation, you notice that the subscription versionshows correct values. For example, you view the timephased values onthe project summary task for the period and in the MSI edition, you see:
        $154.96, $0.00, $0.00
In the subscription version, you see:
        $154.96, $9,660,884.17, $10,123,596.17
  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You have a test Project Web App site in your testenvironment and a production site in your production environment.
    • The two sites have the same site ID.
    • In Project, you have server profiles that point to bothinstances.
In this case, when you select to edit an enterprise calendarin PWA, Project starts. But you may find that the wrong calendar has beenedited.
