Symptoms

When you run a stored procedure (SP) in Microsoft SQL Server, you may receive a floating-point exception error that resembles the following:

DateTime spid117     Error: 3628, Severity: 16, State: 1.DateTime spid117     The Database Engine received a floating-point exception from the operating system while processing a user request. Try the transaction again. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator.
