Symptoms
When you use the latest drivers with in-memory compiled queries in SQL Server 2019, the drivers may fail to work. The following SQL client drivers are affected:

ODBC for SQL Server - version 17.4.2 onwards

PHP for SQL Server - version 5.7.0 onwards

Microsoft Data SQL Client - v1.0.19239.1 (GA) onwards -> v2.0.0-preview1 (latest)

Mssql JDBC - v7.0.0 (GA) onwards -> 8.1.1-preview (latest)
Status
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
Resolution
This issue is fixed in the following cumulative update for SQL Server:
