How to Install the Secured Socket Layer (SSL) Certificate when Forecaster Web Access Client Launched for the First Time

When a user launches Internet Explorer Browser to connect to the Microsoft Forecaster Web Access Client for the first time receives Secured Socket Layer (SSL) Certificate Warning Messages.

  2. From the Help Menu, select AboutInternet Explorer to note down the Version
  3. Select the link based on the Internet Explorer Version

Internet Explorer Version 6

  1. Launch Microsoft Internet Explorer
  2. Navigate to the Microsoft Forecaster URL using HTTPS:// in your address.
  3. The Web Access client components will automatically begin to load onto the workstation. Upon completing download, the product login page will appear.
  4. If a certificate warning occurs, click View Certificate.
  5. From the View Certificate dialog, click Install Certificate.
  6. A Certificate Import Wizard will launch.
  7. Accept all the default options to complete the wizard.
  8. Close Internet Explorer.
  9. Launch Internet Explorer and connect to Microsoft Forecaster Web Access.

Internet Explorer Version 7

  1. Launch Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  2. Navigate to the Microsoft Forecaster URL using HTTPS:// in your address.
  3. The Web Access client components will automatically begin to load onto the workstation. Upon completing the download, the product login page will appear.
  4. If you get a page with the warning: There is a problem with this websit⁥s security certificate, click continue to this web site.
  5. Double click on the Fuchsia Certificate Error indicator next to the address bar.
  6. Click View Certificate to view the Install Certificate dialog.
  7. Click Install Certificate to launch the Certificate Import Wizard.
  8. Accept all of the default options to complete the wizard.
  9. Close Internet Explorer.
  10. Launch Internet Explorer and connect to Microsoft Forecaster Web Access Client.

Internet Explorer 7 with Vista

  1. Right-click on the Microsoft Internet Explorer icon and click Run as administrator. From the User Account Control dialog click Allow.
  2. Navigate to the Microsoft Forecaster URLusing HTTPS:// in your address.
  3. If you get a page with the warning: There is a problem with this website's security certificate
  4. Click continue to this website
  5. The Web Access client components will automatically begin to load onto the workstation. Upon completing the download, the product login page will appear.
  6. Click on the Fuchsia Certificate Error indicator next to the address bar then click View Certificates to view the Install Certificate dialog
  7. Click Install Certificate to launch the Certificate Import Wizard
  8. Click Next
  9. Select Place All Certificates in the following store
  10. Click Browse
  11. Select Trusted Root Certification Authorities and click OK
  12. Click Next to continue to the next screen and click Finish.
  13. You will receive a security warning confirming that you want to install this certificate. Click Yes.
  14. Click OK to a confirmation warning after running the wizard.
  15. Click OK to close the Certificate dialog window.
  16. Close Internet Explorer.
  17. Launch Internet Explorer and connect to Microsoft Forecaster Web Access Client
