An ActiveX control that is used to hide or to reset the browser chrome does not work correctly in Internet Explorer 8

Symptoms


You have an ActiveX control that uses the following code to hide or to reset the browser chrome: 
pweb2->put_AddressBar(VARIANT_FALSE); 
pweb2->put_MenuBar(VARIANT_FALSE);
pweb2->put_StatusBar(VARIANT_TRUE);
pweb2->put_ToolBar(VARIANT_FALSE);
pweb2->Release();
However, when you run the ActiveX control in Windows Internet Explorer 8, the ActiveX control does not work correctly. Additionally, the browser chrome is not hidden or reset as expected.

Note If you resize the browser, the browser chrome is hidden or reset as expected.
