Cell content is displayed as #N/A! after you enable editing in a workbook in Protected View in Excel 2010 or Excel 2013


Assume that you open a workbook in protected view in Microsoft Excel 2010 or Excel 2013. The workbook contains the Cell function. After you click Enable Editing, the content in each cell in the workbook is displayed as #N/A!.

To work around this issue, press F9 to update the workbook.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
