Symptoms

Daylight saving time (DST) for Morocco in 2015 starts at 02:00 on March 29. However, some customers may experience an incorrect DST start setting of 02:00 on August 2 instead.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, use one of the following methods. Method 1 is the preferred method.

Method 1: Manual solution

Follow the steps for your operating system.

For Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP Embedded, and Windows 8.1 RT

Install the December 2014 cumulative update if it is not already installed. If you have the cumulative update installed, or if you continue to see the problem after the installation, try Method 2.

For Windows Server 2012, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, and Windows 8 RT

Install the December 2014 cumulative update if it is not already installed. If you have the cumulative update installed, or if you continue to see the problem after the installation, follow these steps:

  1. Uninstall December 2014 Cumulative Update 3013410.

  2. Uninstall December 2013 Cumulative Update 2904266.

  3. Reinstall December 2014 Cumulative Update 3013410.

If these steps do not resolve the problem, try Method 2.

Method 2: Automatic solution

You can install the following Fix it solution for the systems that are listed in this section. However, this method also sets the DST end time and date for 2015 to 02:00 on June 28. If you use this method, you must install the upcoming hotfix for Morocco 2015 Ramadan settings before June 28, 2015. That hotfix will be announced when it becomes available.
