Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2013 R2, you run a new query in the BizTalk Server Administration Console. For example: 

    Suspended Service Instances 

  • You go to the query results, right-click one item to select Add/Remove Columns, and then you try to add available columns.

In this scenario, an unhandled Microsoft .NET Framework exception occurs in mmc.exe, and the BizTalk Server Administration Console (mmc.exe) crashes.

Cause

The issue occurs because of a code defect in BizTalk Server 2013 R2.

This issue was first fixed in the following cumulative update of BizTalk Server:
