"0x000000D1" Stop error on a Windows Server 2012-based cluster

Symptoms
When this issue occurs, you receive a Stop error message that resembles the following:

STOP: 0x000000D1 (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)

Notes
  • This Stop error indicates a DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL issue.
  • The parameters in this Stop error message vary, depending on the configuration of the computer.
  • Not all "0x000000D1" Stop errors are caused by this issue.

Cause
This issue occurs because of an issue in the Netft.sys cluster driver.
