Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:

You use Microsoft BizTalk Server with the client-side object model (CSOM)-based SharePoint adapter to communicate with SharePoint Server.

You create a document library and a subfolder on the SharePoint server.

You create a view in SharePoint to read files from subfolders as described in How to Configure a Windows SharePoint Services Receive Location.
In this scenario, the Windows SharePoint Services receive location can obtain the files from the document library but not from the subfolder. Additionally, you receive no error message or warning in the event logs.
