FIX: It takes longer than expected when you run a query with non-admin user role in SSAS 2012 or SSAS 2014 in Tabular model

Consider the following scenario:
  • You use Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Analysis Services (SSAS 2012) or SQL Server 2014 Analysis Services (SSAS 2014) in Tabular mode.
  • You connect to a Tabular model database from Excel by using an account that has non-admin permissions on the database.
  • You execute a query that contains the MEMBER_CAPTION or MEMBERVALUE functions against the tabular model.
In this scenario, the query takes much longer to complete than it's executed by the accounts that have Administrative permissions on the database.
The issue was first fixed in the following cumulative update of SQL Server: Recommendation: Install the latest cumulative update for SQL Server
Each new cumulative update for SQL Server contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous cumulative update. We recommend that you download and install the latest cumulative updates for SQL Server:
