This article describes an update that fixes some issues in Windows 8.1,Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1), or Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. Before you install this update, check out the Prerequisites section.
Issues fixed in this update
- Removes the Touch Hardware Quality Assurance (THQA) certification verification check in the Win32k.sys driver in Windows 8.1.
- Font files remain open by the system, and can't be deleted when they're used in a call to CreateScalableFontResource in Windows Server 2012 R2.
- Fixes a crash in Win32k.sys in Windows 7 SP1 or Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.

Prerequisites
To apply this update, you must have April 2014 update rollup for Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2 (2919355) installed in Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2. Or, install Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.
