Update to expose maximum memory enabled for a single query in Showplan XML in SQL Server 2014 or 2016
This update adds the following new attributes to the Showplan XML schema in SQL Server 2014 or 2016:
- MaxCompileMemory under OptimizerHardwareDependentProperties: Maximum amount of memory available to compile a single query in kilobytes (KB).
- MaxQueryMemory under MemoryGrantInfo: Maximum amount of memory available for individual query grant in KB, if the query requires memory to run.
The values for these attributes are provided in compliance with current server configuration and Resource Governor settings, as they are applied during query compilation and execution.
