Flash fill a column of data

1. Select the column with a pattern to use to flash fill the data.

   

2. On the Data tab, select   Flash Fill, or press Ctrl+E.

   The column is filled using the data pattern, like first and last name. For more info, see Using Flash Fill in Excel.
