You don't have to start from scratch if you start with a free template Microsoft Create. Choose from an assortment of templates like calendars, invoices, and budget planning.

Select the drop-down list at the top of the page on the left-hand side and select Excel.

To see more templates, under Create with templates, click the category (like Calendars) that you want to see.

Select the template you want and click Edit.
Tip:Â If you don't like the name of the template (usually Book 1), click the name in the Excel for the web title bar at the top of the page and type a different name.
