You may encounter refresh errors when you are working in a workbook with data types, either by manually refreshing or if Automatic Refresh is enabled by the data provider. Automatic Refresh is new and enabled by default, so these errors may be appearing even if you haven't tried to refresh anything. Check below for the circumstances that cause these refresh errors and what you can do to mitigate them.

You can work around these errors by turning off Automatic Refresh. You can then manually refresh data types after the conditions causing the refresh errors have resolved.

Data may become out-of-date if Automatic Refresh is turned off.

Manual refresh will fail for the same reasons as Automatic Refresh, but you can work with the existing data without automatically encountering refresh errors - just keep in mind that the data may not be fresh.
