You can block people from contacting you or adding you into any groups. However, you cannot delete them from your GroupMe contacts.
Important: If you have blocked a contact but they are still in a group with you, the blocked person can still send messages. You will need to leave the group to prevent the blocked person from sending messages.
There are two ways to block a contact on Android.
From a DM or group chat

Navigate to the DM or group chat with the person you want to block and tap their profile picture in the chat.

Tap More

In the confirmation window, select Block.
From your Contacts

Select your profile picture > Contacts

Select the contact you want to block > tap More

In the confirmation window, select Block.
Unblock a contact

Select your profile picture > Contacts
-
Find the person in your contact list and select Unblock next to their name, then confirm.
There are two ways to block a contact on iOS.
From a DM or group chat

Navigate to the DM or group chat with the person you want to block and tap their profile picture in the chat.
