How do I block or unblock a GroupMe contact?

You can block people from contacting you or adding you into any groups. However, you cannot delete them from your GroupMe contacts.

Important: If you have blocked a contact but they are still in a group with you, the blocked person can still send messages. You will need to leave the group to prevent the blocked person from sending messages.

To block a contact:

  1. Select Contacts  Contacts button.

  2. Select the contact you want to block, then select Block.

  3. In the confirmation window, select Block.

To unblock a contact:

  1. Select Contacts  Contacts button.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of your contact list to find the blocked contacts.

  3. Select the contact, then select Unblock and confirm.

To block a contact:

  1. In the More  More button in GroupMe  menu, select Contacts  Contacts button in GroupMe.

  2. Select the contact you want to block, then select Block.

  3. In the confirmation window, select BLOCK.

To unblock a contact:

  1. In the More  More button in GroupMe  menu, select Contacts  Contacts button in GroupMe.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of your contact list to find the blocked contacts.

  3. Select the contact, then select Unblock User and confirm.

To block a contact:

  1. In the More  More button in GroupMe  menu, select Contacts  Contacts button in GroupMe.

  2. Select the contact you want to block, then select Block.

  3. In the confirmation window, select Block.

To unblock a contact:

  1. In the More  More button in GroupMe  menu, select Contacts  Contacts button in GroupMe.

  2. Find the person in your contact list and select Unblock next to their name, then confirm.

To block a contact:

  1. Select Contacts  Contacts button.

  2. Select the contact you want to block, then select Block.

  3. In the confirmation window, select Yes.

To unblock a contact:

  1. Select Contacts  Contacts button.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of your contact list to find the blocked contacts.

  3. Select the contact, then select Unblock and confirm.
