Microsoft 365 on the Mac has several symbol selection dialogs.Â
Word
Insert symbol

On the Insert menu, select Advanced Symbol, and then choose the Symbols tab.

Select the symbol that you want.
Insert special characters

On the Insert menu, selectclick Advanced Symbol, and then click the Special Characters tab.

Click the character that you want.
Excel

By default, the Character Viewer shows just emoji when opened. But you can expand it to see other character sets. Scroll to the top and select the

On the Insert menu, select Symbol.

Depending on what you want, select theÂ
 expand symbols button to switch between dialogs. -
Choose the emojo or symbol that you want.
PowerPoint
Insert a symbol
The PowerPoint Character Viewer can alternate between just emojis and other character sets. At the top, select the  expand symbols button in the right corner to toggle between dialogs. In the emoji dialog, select categories from the toolbar on the bottom. In the Character Viewer dialog, select categories from the left panes.

Outlook
Insert a symbol
The Outlook Emoji & Symbol dialog can alternate between just emojis and other character sets. At the top, select the  expand symbols button in the right corner to toggle between dialogs. In the emoji dialog, select categories from the toolbar on the bottom. In the Character Viewer dialog, select categories from the left panes.
