Make a call in Microsoft Teams (free)

In Microsoft Teams (free) you can make a one-to-one or group call with up to 20 participants from any of your chats.

Tip: If you want to host a call with more than 20 participants, create an instant meeting or schedule a meeting.

To start a call:

From the Chat tab, select the chat with the person you want to call. If you’re not currently in a chat with someone, you’ll need to start a chat to call them.
From the top of your chat, tap to start either a Video or Audio call. If you start the call from a group chat, you will be asked to confirm that you want to call everyone in the group.

What you can do during a call

	Go to your chat during the call.
	You can have up to 20 participants on the same call from your group chat. If you'd like more participants, create an instant meeting.
	Share your screen or media from your device
	React or raise your hand.
	Turn Video on or off.
	Turn Microphone on or off.
	Turn Speaker phone on or off.
	From the More menu, you can: Put yourself on hold. Turn on live captions. Turn off incoming video. Change the call's Meeting views.
	End or leave the call.

	From the More menu, you can: Access your Device Settings. Put the call in Focus mode. Put the call in Full screen mode. Use Apply background effects to blur or change your background. Use Don't show chat bubbles to turn off chat popups for the duration of the call. Turn off incoming video . Put call on Hold .
	End or leave the call.

	Share your screen. When selecting which screen you want to share, you'll also have the option to Include computer sound.
	End or leave the call.
