Outlook Dogfood

For Microsoft Employees Only

We’re asking all employees to move over to the Dogfood version of Outlook instead of the App Store version to help us build a better experience for all. You can download the Outlook Dogfood app here: https://aka.ms/apps

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What will be different?

Besides a different app icon (the dogfood version is gray), not much will change between the Dogfood Outlook app and the one you currently use. The Dogfood version simply has newer features not available to the public yet and the latest bug fixes.

  2. Is this required?

Yes. We’re asking every Microsoft employee to use the Dogfood version of Outlook as it helps us test our product before we release it to the public, making sure that we get everything right.

  3. Are there any limitations for using the Dogfood version?

Yes, you will no longer be able to share Word, Excel, PowerPoint documents with the App Store versions of those apps. To share documents between Outlook and Office, you will need to download Dogfood versions of those apps as well. You can find them at https://aka/ms/apps.
