Capture an image first

In classic Outlook, place the cursor in the email message body where you want to add the image.

Select the Insert tab, then select Screenshot > Screen Clipping.

From there, select an Available Window to be captured and inserted. Or select Screen Clipping to define the exact screen area you want to capture in a screenshot, then click and drag to create a screenshot to paste it automatically into your email.
Paste an image that's already on the clipboard

Place your cursor in the email message where you want to add your screenshot.

Press Ctrl+V to paste your screenshot from your clipboard.

Capture an image first

Press Windows log key + Shift + S
(The screen darkens, and the snipping tools appear at the top of the window):

SelectÂ
rectangle mode, then with your mouse, click and drag a rectangle around the important area.The image is copied to your clipboard and Windows gives you a notification; click the notification to open the screen capture in Snipping Tool or (Snip & Sketch). You can edit the image there and save it as an image file for later use. For more details, see Use Snipping Tool.

Copy the image in Snipping Tool, switch to your email message. Put your cursor where you want to place the image, the press Ctrl+V.

In Outlook for Mac, create a screenshot using one of the following commands:

Description
Shift+⌘+3
Captures the entire screen.
Shift+⌘+4
Allows you to capture a portion of the screen that you select. After pressing the keys, drag the crosshair to select the area of the screen to capture. When you release your mouse or trackpad button, the image is captured.
Shift+⌘+4+spacebar
Captures a window or menu. After you press the keys, the pointer changes to a camera icon. Click the window or menu that you want to capture. To exclude the window's shadow from the screenshot, press and hold the Option key while you click.
After you take the screenshot, a thumbnail image appears in the corner of your screen. Click it to edit the screenshot or drag it into your email message.

In your draft email message, place the cursor where you want to add your screenshot, then press ⌘+V to paste.
